About Us
Creativity. Collaboration. Connection. Backed by science, delivered through play.

About IMPROV Inc.
IMPROV Inc. is led by the UK’s Paul Speirs and Victoria Hogg, who bring together decades of experience across corporate leadership, coaching, facilitation and performance.
With a combined 30-year corporate career, 15 years of hosting and performance experience, 12 years of improv coaching, and two lifetimes’ worth of passion for comedy, they founded IMPROV Inc. to help teams thrive.
Paul and Vic are experts in the science of applied improvisation, using the tools of improv comedy to support real behavioural change in non-performance settings. Their sessions are grounded in psychology, delivered with humour, and designed to help people collaborate better, speak with more confidence, and enjoy the process.
What we stand for:
At IMPROV Inc., we believe that happier teams are more productive, more creative, and more resilient. That people learn best through play. And that laughter isn’t a distraction, it’s a powerful connector.
Our mission is to help individuals and organisations unlock better collaboration, clearer communication, and a culture where people enjoy showing up and doing their best work.
Meet the Directors

Paul Speirs
Director
Paul’s background spans three decades in corporate leadership. He’s also an award-winning speaker, business coach, and stand-up comedian. His passion is helping people find their voice and grow into confident, purpose-led leaders. Paul knows that improv, when used intentionally, is a powerful tool for change.

Victoria Hogg
Director
Victoria discovered improv in 2011 and instantly knew it was the missing piece. After earning a Masters in Applied Theatre with Distinction and training with international comedy schools, she combined her corporate insight with her love of performance. She helps teams think creatively, communicate openly, and enjoy the process.
What is Applied Improvisation?
Applied improvisation takes the principles of improv – spontaneity, collaboration, listening, and adaptability, and applies them to real-world settings. It’s not about being funny. It’s about building confidence, agility and trust through active, embodied learning.
It’s especially effective in business, where teams are under pressure to think fast, communicate clearly, and solve problems together.
How “Yes, And” can help your business
If you’ve heard of improvisation, or applied improvisation, you’ve likely heard the expression “Yes, And”. It’s a simple phrase that underpins one of the most effective mindsets a team can adopt.
Yes means accepting what’s been said or offered, without judgment.
And means building on it with something new.
Together, these two words create a collaborative flow. They encourage people to stay open, listen closely and contribute constructively, which makes a huge difference in a workplace setting.
In traditional meetings, we often default to “No” or “Yes, but”, which can shut down ideas, create tension or stall progress. "Yes, And" does the opposite. It keeps conversations moving, sparks creative thinking, and builds trust between colleagues.
It helps teams stay agile under pressure, communicate more clearly, and solve problems together without ego or defensiveness. It doesn’t mean agreeing to everything — it means being willing to explore ideas, test new thinking and stay solution-focused.
The result? Stronger communication. Better collaboration. Happier, more resilient teams.
